Yeah, I guess. Plus if there were eyewitnesses it'd probably make things too easy. I mean, I don't think you could outright admit to seeing anything because then they'd know you were involved in something too, but you'd know what evidence to direct people to focus on and what kind of checks to suggest that would be likely to get results.

Just the idea of how convoluted that would get tires me. Trying to untangle that mystery would take weeks rather than hours.
