The guy that planned the whole assassination thing with Roland... he was the chief prosecutor for years, so pretty much near the top of the justice system, and he had lots of people working for him. Making things disappear — evidence, criminal charges against his friends, people who were inconvenient for him — it's his whole thing.

Never got a full night's sleep after I left, and I was always jumping at every unexpected sound. I eventually joined the circus because they travel a lot and I'd be harder to find without a permanent address.

For now, yeah. I had a plan in motion for taking him down, though... I just need a few more days, then everything's finally going to be brought to light and he's not going to be able to make it all go away anymore.

That's why I have to get back to my world, even if I don't really want to stay there. I've got to see this through after everything I've put into it.
